Portable Electromagnetic NDT System

The Eddyfi Reddy® is an advanced, fully portable non-destructive testing (NDT) instrument engineered for rapid surface crack and corrosion assessment. It seamlessly integrates Eddy Current Array (ECA), Tangential Eddy Current Array (TECA™), and Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) technologies into a rugged, field-ready platform. Featuring a large, glove-friendly multi-touch display and real-time C-scan imaging, Reddy is designed to deliver high Probability of Detection (PoD) with minimal surface preparation, bypassing the need to remove paint, coatings, or clean complex weld zones.

Features

Multi-Technology Surface Inspection: Combines high-resolution ECA for non-ferrous assets, TECA for carbon steel welds, and MFL for rapid corrosion screening of large ferromagnetic areas.
TECA™ Carbon Steel Crack Sizing: Designed to interface with Sharck™ probes to detect and accurately size surface-breaking cracks up to 7 mm (0.28 in) deep. It simultaneously scans the weld cap, toe, and heat-affected zone (HAZ) for longitudinal and transverse defects.
Wide-Range MFL Corrosion Screening: Rapidly screens large surfaces, tank walls, and ferromagnetic pipes (from 48 mm [1.9 in] up to flat surfaces) for pitting, wall thinning, and corrosion through lift-off and thick magnetic boundaries.
Flexible I-Flex™ Array Capabilities: Supports highly versatile, flexible-body array probes with multiple built-in topologies, ideal for sizing Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) clusters on complex geometries, pipeline base metals, and pressure vessels.
Ruggedized IP65 Enclosure: Fully sealed, fanless design built to withstand harsh, demanding industrial testing environments without internal air exchange.
Magnifi® Ecosystem & Data Separation: Runs Magnifi GO onboard for fast field data acquisition, which fully pairs with Magnifi CPN for off-site desktop data analysis, allowing equipment to stay active in the field while analysts process reports.

Applications

Carbon and Stainless Steel Welds: High-PoD surface inspection of weld beads, transitions, and Heat-Affected Zones (HAZ) with minimal surface preparation.
Asset Corrosion Mapping: Rapid corrosion mapping on aluminum and stainless steel tank floors (detecting thinning down to 10% of plate thickness) and ferromagnetic pipes.
Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC): Detection and cluster sizing of SCC in pipelines, storage tanks, pressure vessels, and internal cladding.
