Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) Array Tank Bottom Scanner

The Floormap®X is an advanced multi-technology Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) Array and Surface Topology Air-gap Reluctance Sensors (STARS) tank floor scanner. Serving as the industry standard for large-scale storage tank bottom integrity screening, it provides 100% comprehensive data mapping capable of discriminating between top-side and bottom-side corrosion. Engineered to comply with global regulatory guidelines such as API 653 and EEMUA 159, the FloormapX features motorized active steering to target the critical 12 mm (0.5 in) boundary zone near the tank shell wall, inspecting plates up to 20 mm (0.75 in) thick even through non-magnetic surface coatings.

Interactive Live Laser Guide: Projects a laser line directly onto the physical asset surface, fully mirrored within the live tablet C-scan to ensure immediate physical-to-digital defect mapping.
Adjustable Sensor Bridge Height: Leverages a variable-height chassis that can be quickly raised or lowered by the operator to clear undulating plates, lap welds, and patch repairs without stopping.
Ruggedized Modular Interface: Built with a detachable, IP65/UL shockproof touchscreen tablet running SIMS GO data collection software, coupled with physical thumb-switch speed throttles and magnet toggle overrides.
API-Compliant Visual Lighting: Includes chip-on-board (COB) front-dimmable focalized LEDs and wide rear arrays to cleanly expose surface flaws and structural barriers.
Dynamic Easy-break™ Release: Uses an ergonomic lever design that enables the operator to mechanically split and disengage the intense magnetic attraction from the floor safely during tight space maneuvering.
